“Leave No Child Inside” Youth Photography Class June 14 (Saturday)Here's a unique gift for kids between age 9-16 who enjoy photography: help them become better with their cameras and composition skills! Professional photographers Mark Skalny and Maggie Leef (both of them dedicated Boyce Thompson Arboretum volunteers) will offer a kids-only class in landscape and nature photography as part of the nationwide “Leave No Child Inside” effort to get youths outdoors and enjoying nature. Class will run from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. and beginners are encouraged to attend. Photographers Skalny and Leef will explain basic camera functions and offer practical lessons about composition, printing – and possibly some instruction about digital imagery and basic post-processing using PhotoShop.
